It's been a bit warm and humid in western Illinois and I had to do some face buildup on some ductile parts.Usually I just mig these and toss them in the furnace, but Saturday I thought "put the Portacool at your back and just stick 'em, take your time". It's just build up and going to go away but after finishing I thought "man that rod runs really smooth". Then I thought of Farmersamm...Pic below; Oh the proud welded ring is so the cutting tool can get a load on a small surface before hitting the uneven welded surface.Matt Attached Images
Reply:Sometimes it's relaxing to run stick after you've run MIG for a while. That's one reason I used it on the ring roller instead of wire. Reply:I guess i'm weird i learned and only stick welded for years then switched to mig. Maybe its cause i don't stick enough anymore but it just doesn't work for me.
