Hi,Haven't posted in a while, but I have a question I'm sure someone out there has already figured out the answer to.I recently purchased a Miller 375 X-Treme plasma cutter. This thing works GREAT! My Victor O/A setup is getting jealous from lack of use.I am LOUSEY at freehand circle cutting and most long straight cuts. That's why I almost always used cheaters with my O/A setup, straight edges, circle burner attachment, etc. When I checked the prices of these attachments for the Miller plasma torch, I almost fell over!I have some aluminum stock (1/2" and 3/4" thick), some machineable Teflon (3/4" thick). I think have the skills and tools to copy what I have seen in the pictures. Most of the ones I have seen advertise a "derelin" bushing in the torch attachment. Is this for heat or to keep the torch electrically isolated from the attachment?Any tips on making circle cutter attachments for these torches?Haven't sprung for the drag tip attachments as of yet. Hopefully next week. Thanks in advance.Butch W.Butch W.Lincoln 180C MIGThermalArc TA 185 - WP-20 TorchMiller 375 X-treme Plasma CutterVictor Journeyman O/A Set
Reply:My friend has the same machine as you and bought his with the circle attatchment and standoff roller guide and plastic toolbox case all as a package deal. The circle cutter attatcment really is cool. With mine, I just draw a circle by tracing around a piece of pipe with a scribe and carefully follow the line with the torch. Works pretty good. If I needed extremely accurate, truely round holes, I would have to get the guide, or have a machine shop cut the holes on a mill, or whatever is the correct equipment for doing that..I don't see why the guide can't be fabricated, though I've never really taken a serious look at how they are made with the idea of making it myself. I don't cut circles often enough to make it worth it to me to do that or buy one either.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
