HiI have a bunch of 1.5" pipe here that I thought would be good to make shelving out of,  anyone have any ideas, would like to make it so it's adjustable if possible. The piping is 1/8" thick. Thanks
Reply:Well, You could make the uprights out of the 1.5". Then make some shelves out of whatever, but attach some shorter, but slightly larger diameter pipe (or tube) to each of the four corners. Now the shelf can slide up and down. You can probably get away with drilling and taping the shelf corners for some set screws/bolts...simply tighten them up to hold the shelf where you want it. I don't know how much weight you are planning to hold. The set screws might not hold if you are planning to really load the shelf down. Maybe cross-drill the vertical uprights and put bolts through to hold up the shelf...that would be stronger.Andrew
Reply:You could make the ends Ladder Style and then just have the shelf supports rest on the rungs.and weld in some Stops to keep the Shelf from sliding offLast edited by Broccoli1; 08-23-2010 at 03:19 PM.Ed Conleyhttp://www.screamingbroccoli.com/MM252MM211 (Sold)Passport Plus & Spool gunLincoln SP135 Plus- (Gone to a good home)Klutch 120v Plasma cutterSO 2020 benderBeer in the fridge
