First post but long time viewer. After good info here and elsewhere bit the bullet and ordered an Everlast tig machine. After I ordered customer service was good enough to let me know that it would "ship in three weeks". Four weeks later, not a word from Everlast, and no welder. I emailed and the response was "We are still waiting for delivery. We do not have a confirmed delivery date at this time." I would have thought they'd atlas be proactive in letting me know. Not super impressed....
Reply:We have put posts all over letting people know what the case was, and have sent out mass mailers to customers on our lists.  By now it is common knowledge that ALL the welding suppliers are far behind.  The perfect storm of stimulus, covid shut downs over seas, striking dock workers, 40 ships backed up in ports, and shortage of shipping containers have made deliveries slow everywhere.  We have thousands of people wanting and ordering units.  It's at the point where we cannot do personalized emails for every customer.I had a customer tell me who is a wholesaler, that it was 18 weeks to get a Hypertherm. It's quite easy to cancel an order if you desire.  Just call and they'll be glad to refund...however, if you wish to purchase something else, unless you are lucky and the local retailer was forward thinking, and has extra inventory, you will be waiting 6 to 8 weeks because they cannot get parts.  I'm talking blue and red here.  My formerly busy Ford dealership down the road told me that they had only 1 NEW F150 to sell. The only cars/SUV's they can get, are police specials, which they are actually trying to sell to the public (with the big search light on the A pillar).   Used cars were nill because ford and others had to cut back because they could not get the microchips they needed, so everyone is getting what they can.  Sort of like the toilet paper shortage a few months ago.  Again, apologies, but there isn't much we can do but wait for the ports to clear, the flow of return shipping containers to get better, and for dock workers to step it into high gear.  We have several ships with our product loaded on them, but they are sitting, burning diesel in the ports.  Shipping has increased on aver 8000 more per container than before.  We are paying it, and keeping prices steady as possible.  However, we are optimistic this will last not much past August.Esab Migmaster 250Lincoln SA 200Lincoln Ranger 8Smith Oxy Fuel setupEverlast PowerPlasma 80Everlast Power iMIG 160Everlast Power iMIG 205 Everlast Power iMIG 140EEverlast PowerARC 300Everlast PowerARC 140STEverlast PowerTIG 255EXT
Reply:Are they showing that the equipment is not in stock on the website? I checked a few items but does not mention anything about being backordered.
Reply:The website isn't built that way. This isn't the only point of order for Everlast products, so it would be meaningless to try.  It isn't tied to inventory, and most people tend to preorder direct off the website after they call in to check availability.Miller doesn't have any "out of stock" on their site either for comparison, but there are some models right now that are hard to get from them.If you have a problem waiting, which it seems you aren't very happy about it, so much to to tell us you are not impressed, then I'd just call Everlast at the number listed on the site ,dial ext 202 and ask for a refund.  It shouldn't be a problem.  They can also give you the best estimate on time and availability of any product.Esab Migmaster 250Lincoln SA 200Lincoln Ranger 8Smith Oxy Fuel setupEverlast PowerPlasma 80Everlast Power iMIG 160Everlast Power iMIG 205 Everlast Power iMIG 140EEverlast PowerARC 300Everlast PowerARC 140STEverlast PowerTIG 255EXT

Reply:My 14 May order (253dpi) arrived today (9 June) which is in the three and a half week range.  I think Natalia advised that it wasn't in stock but was expected more in ten days or so, but understanding how backed up west coast ports are I just can't get worked up about it.  I got a tracking number on the 14th and notification of an actual delivery date on 3 June. For what it's worth, UPS was confident that it would get here yesterday yet here we are.  I expect Everlast can only give information as accurate as what their shippers/customs folks give them.
