I just thought I'd pass on some information . I've been scouring the forums lately trying to find info and to see if anyone has had experience with the TA Fabricator 210 Mig . I've found almost no information anywhere on this machine . A local dealer was promoting this machine and today I decided to go have a look at it . It was the same price as the Miller 212 ( actually slightly less ), but , it came with a beautiful auto helmet , and a very nice spool gun kit ( with case and consumables ) . It was a LOT nicer than I expected it would be .Build quality was every bit as good as the Miller .Very nice 250 amp Tweco gun and the machine comes factory setup with all the spot timers.I decided right then and there to buy it .I tried it this evening and I have to say , it welds some nice . The arc is super smooth and it has LOTS of power ( 1/2" single pass ) . MUCH more impressive than I ever would have thought. 5 year warranty too . My Miller 180 Auto Set feels like a toy after using this thing .Just thought someone might find this info useful .Miller MM252 with Q300Hypertherm PM1000Everlast Powertig 200DXMiller Syncrowave 200
Reply:I purchased a 190 a year ago, same type of promotion from Acklands-Grainger the 210 is alot heavier chassis, more taps?My promo was a set of O/A torches.Regret not spending more for the 252.Runs nice smooth beads eh?I had a little trouble adjusting to its ease of use at first and was trying to work to hard to make a bead.
Reply:The Fab 210 has 250 amps and 16 voltage taps . It is quite a bit different than my MM180 and it certainly did take a bit of time to get the hang of it . But , the arc is very smooth and it seems to work very nice . Like I said , it's a totally different level machine compared to the MM180 . I used to have a MM210 so it will be interesting to see how this machine will compare . The 16 voltage taps should make a really nice difference .Miller MM252 with Q300Hypertherm PM1000Everlast Powertig 200DXMiller Syncrowave 200 |
