Started building a loader for my tractor. Not much to see yet, but I will post updates when I find time to work on it again. Its going be a long project.[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]
Reply:Sweet. What year is your tractor?TJ
Reply:It is a 1972 model. When I bought it it needed a crankshaft. I totally rebuilt the engine, used it for deer plots one season, now I am starting on a loader for it.
Reply:How big is your loader going to be? Hydraulic im Guessing?
Reply:I am just going to feel my way threw it. Yes hydraulic. I am planning on about a 5' bucket.
Reply:Right on. Sounds like it will be pretty sweetTJ
Reply:I've got a 1212, lot's of stuff is switched sides but pretty much the same parts on the tractor. If it's anything like mine the rear tires need to be loaded and some weights would be nice too for the loader. I need to rebuild a lot of the mounting system for the loader on mine, someone previously did pretty much of a hack job getting it on there but it works ok.HH 187Miller Bluestar1EAHP AlphaTig 200X

Reply:nice start busyman, if you can get some pics of a case 380 LL, stands for loader/landscaper, you can get a good idea of how the loader is mounted. i believe david brown built those units for case. came with a loader and 3pt. hitch.millermatic 200 millermatic 150miller bluestar 2Epurox / oxweld O/A

Reply:Mine just hooks into the hydraulic remote on the back, runs to the loader valves and the return line to the rear remote, nothing fancy. Mine is a little slow, 6gpm, gets the job done but I'm betting I'll be replacing the pump in the near future..... it seems a little weak to me.Yours might not have the remote I'm thinking, mine has a valve that when centered allows you to use the 3 pt but you can't use the 3 pt when it's either forward or back for using the remote. Does the 885 have that?HH 187Miller Bluestar1EAHP AlphaTig 200X

Reply:Be careful, the David browns were hard on tie rod ends especially with loaders. Reply:Originally Posted by busymanI am more curious on how to tie into the tractors hydraulics, and I am not sure if the tractors hydraulics will supply enough flow to run it efficiently. I am kinda lost on the hydraulic part of this build. I figured I would cross that bridge when I get there.

Reply:Originally Posted by RWS WELDINGi'm pretty sure the case had a pump mtd. on the front, run off the damper. the hyd. oil tank was actually the uprights where your loader frame would hinge . also the loader frame hinge pin was a 1 pc. rod that went through both uprights and had locknuts to retain. valve and controls were mtd. to r/s upright as well as hyd. filter and hsg. hope this helps! rob
Reply:Here are some updated pics of Busyman's loader. "Done" pics will come soon..
Reply:Thanks for posting the pics lil bro...
Reply:A suggestion while you in the building faze. Add a piece of angle to the lower back of the bucket, it makes it much easier to back drag.Carlohttp://public.fotki.com/Naudi2U/
Reply:Problems I see.... Bucket isn't wide enough. It's awfully deep.Pivots are too far back from the bucket. They need to be tucked in close or even inset into the bucket. My name's not Jim....

Reply:I can't speak to the design, but it looks very carefully done and professional. Look forward to seeing it work.
Reply:Looks good to me, should do the job. I emailed a link to this thread already to a friend who is thinking of building a loader for his tractor. He has the cylinders, hyd. hose, valves etc. already, just needs to get in there and start welding it up. Hope your project will encourage him."The reason we are here is that we are not all there"SA 200Idealarc TM 300 300MM 200MM 25130a SpoolgunPrecision Tig 375Invertec V350 ProSC-32 CS 12 Wire FeederOxweld/Purox O/AArcAirHypertherm Powermax 85LN25

The pics don't look like it is.My name's not Jim.... |
