I guess I am comparing apples to oranges here. I can buy a new Lincoln PT 225 runner for about $2400 Canadian plus tax through a good LWS . I can also purchase a used Synchromax 250 for $2000 or less depending on haggle factor. No idea exactly how old it is. I could see doing the odd 1/4 aluminum and I noticed that when I have used a PT 225 at my welding school it wasn't too happy trying to fuse anything that thick. I am told that if I pre heat things, it would make all the difference. The PT 225 has a nice pulse function which I have found very useful. It is has quite a bit smaller footprint as well, But I read such great things about the 250 Miller. Pro and con opinions appreciated.Bob.Miller Dynasty 200 DXMillermatic 211Hypertherm PM 600In Tool acquisition Mode |
