Hey all,I found this site a week or so ago. I've been lurking and looking at everyone's pics and projects. There is some extraordinary talent on this board!I found some pics of a couple of old projects and thought that I would post them here. I'm a plasma nut, and do all of my stuff by hand...although I will cheat and use a guide for some straight lines! The sign was for a local Golf Course that I cut out of 10 gauge mild steel. The fire-pit was a project that I donated for the West Texas A&M Ag Reunion a couple of years ago. I hand rolled the 10 gauge mild steel with my old hand crank roller, cut a 28" circle plate, welded it to the cylinder, cut some 1 1/4" square tube for the legs, and then hand cut the buffaloes and slanted WT logos.Anyways enjoy, glad I found this board! Reply:Welcome aboard, those are some nice looking projects. Wish I could cut freehand with a plasma like that.I am what I am, Deal with it!If necessity is the Mother of Invention, I must be the Father of Desperation!

Reply:Nice 'Free-Hand' skills... Drag-Tip no doubt? What make / model of plasma you use?BTW, have you found (or anyone else) 'anything' that bends into nice curves, angles etc..? Been looking for something about 18" to 20" long that will allow me to bend it back and forth as a guide when trying to cut straight, curves, whatever. Right now I'm using a HUGE box of 'assorted' junk with various curves, holes, straight edges, etc and it's a HUGE PITA...
