Reply:Not enough info, don't understand what you are trying to do, but, what about a small gear-motor controlled with a rheostat, do you have a picture.
Reply:you need a wire feeding motor from a mig welding machine :-)Then you can adjust speed as you like

Reply:Try a seach on this site, this has been discussed and some people have built nice positioners. An inexpensive rotating ground can be made with the flat woven copper strap material looped around the main positoner shaft and tensioned with a spring.

Reply:Do the search on my user name I built one a while ago. The biggest problem you will face is motor control. If you use a dimmer switch; as it reduces speed it also reduces torque, not what you want. Read the thread I started and all will be explained.
