I have some 7016 or 4816 as we call em here in oz, how long do I leave them in the oven and how hot?.
Reply:Go to the manufacturer's web site for accurate information. As I recall, during a power outage, I had to recondition lincoln 7018 at 500°F for 8 hours and as always store low hy rods at 250°F. Many welders I know do not recognize that stainless steel electrodes are low hy and should be treated as such.
