Hi everyone new to the forum here. I got a miller sync200 about 6 months ago and have done a fair bit with it on 304 stainless for a chargepipe setup for my turbo kit. Was just tinkering around in the shop today and decided to make a oil catch can for my car. Can you please critique my welds as this is the first time i have tried out A/C. Using red tungeston, 80 amps, the alluminum pipe is about 16gauge and the end plate is about 3/16 inch.
Reply:Bead looks good, maybe a little overfilled but it wont cause an issue here.  Just need a little work blending in your starts and stops.  Also in the one picture you can see a crater where you ended a bead, make sure to get those filled in.Overall not bad for your first time and welding 16ga to 3/16.  I would be happy with that.Have we all gone mad?
Reply:ok thanks for the help. i am finding it hard to get the torch moving around the piecce right now while keeping the correct angle. Maybe its time to build a rotarie work piece holder.
