I have a new Miller/Hobart Auto Arc 130.I am welding clean 1/8" steel with CO25/A75 and .030 wire. The weld is coming out just fine at first, but only for about 4-6", then it loses its sizzle and starts to pop, and overheats. I know it has a duty cycle, but 4" every 15 mins seems ridiculous. The other odd thing, is the setting guide is specifying setting 4 for voltage, and 40 for speed. However, I can't get a stable arc at more than 20 for speed - which is pretty slow. Seems way too different, and I wondering if there is something wrong with the unit.Any thoughts out there? |
