Winery and a tool

I had to run up to a local winery and repair a few leaks in their heat exchanger when I spotted this monster.  It was custom built from some french company and assembled by a california outfit onsite in carlton oregon.  It travels up and down a set of tracks so they can access all of the tanks in this one room.  They then dump the grapes into the tops of these open-top fermenters.  They tell me that they do not use pumps at this winery.. I forget what the benefit of that was.  But it sure makes for alot of work.  Back to the monster: the whole top of the unit can swivel around so they can be directly over the tanks.  The base is made up of 8" s.s. square tube, and the top deck is all aluminum.  There rear legs have two electric motors mounted to the wheels and there's a hot rail above the machine for power.  I would have loved to fabricate this one.  I bet i would have over a year into it.And the last photo is of a pickle bar(that's what we called them at the ship yard).  I CNC'd the 3/4" plate so that one leg would slide inside the 1 1/4" sch 40 pipe.  It's used for flipping angles, beam and channels over. Reply:The only thing i have seen close to that monster is the platform for servicing the rear ball screws on the tail of dc-10's   that one was over 6 stories tall.  ALL aluminumI have a couple of those pickle bars myself.  Nothing but handy in every situationVantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches.
