machined out of a piece of 3"x3" solid bar stock. don't know what alloy. i DO know that the clevis is off a M88 rated 12 tons.

Reply:That pin will hold just fine, that's a very strong connection plus the pin probably wasn't machined out of "unknown alloy" but is probably a very shear resistant high grade alloy, just my .02

Reply:thanks for the comments i asked about the 5/8 pin....i guess there is some kinda rule in his class that says it has to be there. the sled is safety chained to the truck to prevent a runaway.plus the truck is his daily driver so it had to be removable.
