First time stick welding!

Well last night was the 2nd day in welding class. Learned how to stick weld! Man was it a pain I guess they call it stick welding for a reason cuz my rod sticked to the steel about 100 times haha.. But once I got the hang of it I like it a lot. Not as much as mig welding but it is fun to do. Got some gloves and a long button up welding shirt today..might get a Helmet here soon.

Reply:Once you get the hang of it you will see all the many uses it offers. carbon, stainless, plate, pipe,tube, any position etc etc . keep up the practice and hang in there stick welding is a useful thing to know .
