Im in welding school and my teacher started me out using nothing but 6010 rods. He has passed me on the t bars in flat and vertical but im have a real tough time in a 45degree position? REALLY NEED HELP AND/OR ADVICE!!!!!
Reply:45 degree position?? Standard positons are flat ( __ ), horizontal ( ---- ), vertical ( | ) and overhead (which is same as flat, except above you). Are you talking about 45 degrees half way between flat and horizontal, or 45 degreese half way between flat and vertical, or 45 degrees, half way between horizontal and overhead? If it's between flat, horizontal and overhead, just point your rod a little more at the upper plate, or if weaving, hold the upper toe longer. If it's between flat and vertical, run it like a vertical.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op |
