On the heels of my inquiry regarding MAPP vs Acetylene....I understand a number of suppliers are phasing out MAPP, at least in Canada, and replacing it with propylene. (Allegedly in the consumer market those little 16 oz MAPP cylinders are being replaced with Bernz-O-Matic label MAPP-PRO, though my local ACE hardware here in NH still has MAPP onthe shelf.) I read a comment about one of the constituants of MAPP, propadiene, has greater value to the plastics industry making MAPP expensive to produce.Does anyone here have any info on this? Is this impacting anyone here who has been using MAPP?- MondoMember, AWSLincoln ProMIG 140Lincoln AC TombstoneCraftsman Lathe 12 x 24 c1935Atlas MFC Horizontal MillCraftsman Commercial Lathe 12 x 36 c1970- - - I'll just keep on keepin' on.
