So I was going back looking at a bunch of photos of cars I've built in the past and such.I haven't done much in the passed few months. But what I have done isn't anything I'm crazy about. The following pics are about 6 months old. I can't remember all the details. But I'm more or less looking for your opinions on how I can improve my skills. If you guys don't mind that is.

Reply:As far as the aluminum goes. That tubing is from Vibrant. I have THE WORST time trying to weld it. I tried every method of preping it. From wire brush and acetone. To grinding and muriatic acid.I gave up and ended up not preping it at all. I had the best results that way. I also had to weld it at 120-140 amps. For .065 wall tubing. But that is why the tube looks dirty.Oh all welds were done on a Lincoln 185???? or something like that. I don't remember.
Reply:The welds look decent. Some of those pipes I would have brought to someone to have mandrel bent instead of piecing them together, but that's just me. I have a question - in pic #5, what are the 4 pipes running under the car? Is it a tailpipe turbo set up - 2 exhaust and 2 pressurized air coming back to the front from rear mounted turbos?Fire!, Fire! Oh wait, that's my torch...Lincoln PT-225 TIGLincoln 175 MIG
Reply:4'th pic going upstairs...Get rid of the hole at the end of the weld...Especially on Stainless..No good.Other than that...Continue on....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:That car must fly. What kind of car is that?safety last
Reply:^The white car is a 1989 Toyota Supra. We took out the 7M-GTE (inline 6 turbo).Replaced it with a 1UZ-FE 4L V8 from a Lexus GS400. Since the 1UZ only ever came in automatic. We had an adapter plate made to fit the Supras R-154 5 speed tranny to it. Along with a custom made clutch.I don't remember the exact sizing of the turbos. I know they are a T28 turbine housing. Don't remember the size of the compressors. The owners initial goal was 1000rwhp. But I told them that wasn't happening with those size turbos. I'm going to be surprised if it surpasses 700-750rwhp. I personally think it will be around 630rwhp.. Give or take. The turbos are too small.
Reply:it looks like you are getting their. tips on your Al, clean, clean, clean. the smaller rod you can use the smoother it will flow. good aluminum welds need to be IN the metal not on top like some of yours are so don't be afraid to pour the heat to it. you also need to make sure to run over your start when you come back around for your final stop. the stainless but weld with the pin hole in the end looks a little low past your  final stop and running over it and adding some more filler would have done you loads of good. 'spend as much time as you can with your hood on, you have the basics you just need more time.
Reply:Last car is an FC RX-7.  Sry I cant give any advice, but I love seeing RX's around, running or not. Aaron
