After a month in the making I finally started a very nice new job today. All tig work in a climate controlled shop, I'm fabbing small sheetmetal parts, a very nice change from the industrial fabrication I've been doing for the past 8 years. Nice equipment, even got watercooled torches. Pay is very good and the benefits are great. It's a nice change for sure, metal we use is VERY expensive so every weld and cut matters but the boss don't hawk ya and the pay makes the added stress worth it. Been stressing since June when the shop I worked for was shut down and took a job with a pay cut and $200 a week medical insurance. But it was worth the wait for sure.
