I found a local fellow selling a ESAB 252 tig ,He had it hard wired in his shop right now its not hooked up so i cant demo it there.I wanted to shoot home with it and plug it to my 50amp plug I use for my Migmaster, he tells me it wont even turn on if I dont hook up direct to a 100 AMP. Is this so? I have heard they are power hungry beast? thanks much jim
Reply:Yes they are power hungry beasties.....BUT...it will most definitely run on 50a. How do I know this??? That is what I run mine on every day. You will be limited on amperage. Stick is maxed at about 175a and TIG about 120-130a. You will also blow the breaker a time or two upon start up. Irritating, but if you want to run it on a 50a circuit, you just have to live with it.QamuIs Heg qaq law' lorvIs yInqaq puS |
