My buddy is doing a motor swap in his Toyota ae86 and we had some down pipe issues. It was going to run into the steering shaft. He really wanted to do all pie cuts for the bends, so twenty-six sections later. It would have been nice to TIG it, but I wanted it done today...lol"If you live in Sacramento you have seen my work."
Reply:look good..would of been nice to see it tig
Reply:I think that, cleaned up, that will look pretty good. It's more welding than I like to put on it, but the customer gets what they want.
Reply:Jeez, I would rather buy bends from McMaster Carr, etc. and cut and fit them. It takes so much less time, you save a load of money on the labor. Also, less exhaust leaks and cracks over time.....And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return. |
