a job that travels?

Reply:Kind of a vague question, almost every mobile welder has some sort of travel involved. I know a guy who travels around the world to do crane repairs. Reply:I know of several steel erecting companies that travel in a several state area. Depends on the type of welding your looking at doing, Most send a rig or two to the site in whatever area its in and rent a crane locally, guys stay in a hotel till the projects done. I used a Michigan based erector on a building we did in Rapid City SD. They pulled up on monday and worked thru the following weekend then pulled out till the next phase.

Reply:Offshore oil might be worth checking out.  Work on the rigs in the gulf might meet most of your requirements.

Reply:Diamond mines up in Northern Canada operate on two weeks in and two weeks out.  A lot of oil rig work is the same.
