I wanted to build a fence at one of my rentals that wouldn't rot. I used 14 gauge 2" square tube and 11 gauge for the gate posts, 1.75" for the gate. Rust isn't an issue here in the desert so I figure it will last as long as I need it to.I had to angle it here to fit the tree in.Galvanized roofing and 6"redwood pickets just for looks.Gate with lock box and deadbolt.(I forgot to wipe away my chaulk line before photographing)Last edited by bigb; 03-19-2011 at 11:57 PM.Miller Challenger 172Miller Thunderbolt AC/DC 225/150Miller Maxstar 150 STLVictor 100CVictor JourneymanOxweld OAHarris O/ASmith O/A little torchNo, that's not my car.

Reply:Do you have any photos of the backside of the gate and how you built it? I'm looking for ideas for my backyard.

Reply:Extremely nice looking fence. I plan on doing something similar and incorporating railroad ties. Thanks for sharing |
