I have a Miller Swinger 180 that I bought second hand.  It made wonderful sparks when I tried it at time of purchase. There were a copuple of times that the machine didn't turn on.  The switch that was in it at time of purchase was an OEM, with the heavy spring.  Eventually the machine wouldn't turn on at all, so I figured it was dirty contacts.  The inside of the machine was in need of a cleaning.Long story short, the two things I did to the machine were replace that switch with a factory part from the LWS and clean out the inside.  The breaker kicks out every time I flip the switch.  I drew a picture of the wires so I would get them right when I put the switch back in.  I am thinking that the machine was developing a short circuit that has now become complete.  Does this sound right, and how would I check to see if it does have a short?  Would it be primary or secondary circuit? Thanks for your help.
Reply:My guess would be thatthe lug positions on the two switches mzy not match, and are wired wrong now.  Check the schematics to be sure,- Tim
Reply:One of the reps at Miller talked me through getting it squared away.  I am up and running and wish it was nice enough out to be making sparks.
