This is a rental. The stock is 7/8", I bought a few feet of it years ago. He knows I keep it.I felt like tig so I used a level to keep the piece straight. I think its 3 passes per side, maybe 4. 1/16" ER70S-6 Arcmaster 185 turned all the way up. I only used it all to start the puddle. 3/32 black or red in a water cooled torch.I got two small excavators in. One with the boom torn off at the base and one with the dipper hanging by one side near the pin. Thanks for lookingDavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.

Reply:David, good photos, but I couldn't tell if the new square arbor is just butt-welded at the joint, or did you inlet the new piece before welding it?
