I'm looking for a right angle "quick setup" clamp that attaches to a welding table and holds table legs secure and perpendiculer for a tack weld. These are not inexpensive clamps. I did see a video and they appear to be about a foot in length, aluminum, but no infomation about them was identified and I haven't been able to ask or write because without a name I don't know where to begin. Suggestions?
Reply:Strong hand tools sells a clamp that will hold three pieces to form two sides and one leg. I believe it is called a right angle clamp.
Reply:There was some pic's in home made tools here awhile back that looks pretty simple to make. Attached Images
Reply:Like them both. The Strong Hand is called the three axis clamp. It is what I had in mind. The pics of the right angle will work for a different application though. Thanks.
Reply:becarefull what you wish for. I got some fancy clamps and my worker doesnt' like using them. He said it's just as fast to use a L shaped right triangle ruler to square everything up on a flat welding table. I guess it depends on the percision you need. If things are off 1/16th of an inch for us it's not a big deal.

Reply:Would simple slices of angle iron and a couple of locking pliers work? I've found angle iron provides a very good right angle and is much cheaper than those purpose-made clamps, especially when you need a lot of themXMT304 (school)SP125+ (home)HF 4x6 BandsawGood judgement comes from experience and much of that comes from bad judgement.

They wanted like $37 each!I ended up ordering 2 of them yesterday off of Amazon (fulfilled by Northern Tool) and the shipping was only $6.49 for both of them. Now that is a deal.
