Anyone know anything about Euctectic welding/cutting torches? I found a site for Euctectic but it doesn't make any mention of gas welding.
Reply:the eutectic torch i had back in the early 70's was for their powdered metal process.essentially ,a spray welder that could braze or hard-surface. gave it to a friend in 1990 or so.their powder was called eutelloy ,i believe. don't know if they still sell it.
Reply:Yep they still make plain torches, cutting attachments, and spray welding setups. Not easy to get in this country though. Ive got a couple from the late 1980's. I believe Messer in Wisconsin is about the best contact.
Reply:Eutectic powder torches are still sold today. They are made in Germany (i think) We have repaired a few of them. Parts are very expensive. They are worth keeping if you have one, but I would not purchase one.OAdoctorwww.regulatortorchrepair.com
Reply:I'm still looking for any info on Euctectic welder and torch. I have a welder with a W-5 tip and a torch with a WC-3 tip. I'm trying to determine their comparison to tips from other manufacturers.Thanks.
