This is my most recient rig built it in 2007. If I knew the economy was going to tank I wouldn't have built this one I would have kept that money in the bank. That said it's been a good rig. Attached Images
Reply:Hey woodweld,Great lookin' rig & well equipped. I'm sure the price of fuel these days doesn't help your bottom line & the necesssity to pass it on the the customers. I believe all of us who offer mobile services had to raise our fee a bit. I know, I raised my fee to pull to location an additional $15 because of fuel. You gotta do what you gotta do. Hope your work is steady to maintain your operation.DennyComplete Welding/Machine/Fab. Reply:That is one nice rig!  It just screams HIGH QUALITY!  If I were the customer and saw that pull up to the job site, I would automatically assume I had hired the right contractor.  First impressions  make a difference and in this case the impression is clean, neat, organized, well maintained, and professional.  Very nice sir.Miller 211 w/ spool gunMiller Dynasty 200DXLongevity 60i IGBT plasmaO/A w/ crappy chinese torch/gaugesSouth Bend 10K latheGrizzly 4029 10x54 millGrizzly 7x12 hor bandsawangle grnders, bench grnder, bench belt sndr7.5 hp 80gal cmprsor
Reply:Perhaps a dumb question - why would the awning be on the left side of the vehicle and not the right (curb-side)?  Nice clean rig!  Not the typical welder in the back of a pick-up - not that there's anything wrong with that.  LOL"These instructions are at our present level ofknowledge. Reply:Very good sales tool that also gives you much more usable space than a conventional rig. Bet the awning is a lifesaver!
Reply:Thank everyone for the thumbs up. Hey yorkie yes fuel is kicking my @##, and i'm having to raise my rates.  Hello hardware the main reason I put the awning on the drivers side is to keep trees from tearing it up, its about 11 feet of the ground. The door is to access the welder, it had to go in that way so I could access the maintenance door on the machine inside the truck. I've been happy with the set up except for the fact that it's so high off the ground, my truck before this one was a step van and it was easier to get into, but it was a maintenance nightmare. Again thank you all
Reply:thats nice
Reply:Nice rig. Under floor storage lockers , awning. I know with my motorhome those are two things that made a world of difference. The little conveniences that turn a miserable time into "not so bad". I'm gonna remember your rig and when  the time comes, I shall incorporate your ideas in mine. Have you thought of automatic electric rv stairs for the rear of the box? just a thought, did not notice if you had a lift gate or not.Mike

Reply:Nice rig. I like the convenience of an open rig like an F-550 with a mechanics body, but I like the security of your box truck. Those little cab overs are nice trucks and they sell pretty cheap, used from Ryder."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:Very nice job, very professional, very impressive.Working on cars and bikes is my hobby, learning to weld the pieces together is my quest.

Reply:Is that a Hino, Isuzu or GMC cabover?  Small(ish) diesel motor?  Is the mileage that much worse than 3/4 pick-up or 1 ton cab chassis?"These instructions are at our present level ofknowledge.
