Here's another trailer dollly.  I saw this design on-line and decided to make my own.  I put a small angle in the handle thinking that it would add a little clearance to my walk, but it turns out that I really didn't need to do that.  I'm 6'4" and I love the long handle, which is one of the main reasons I wanted to make my own.  This thing is SWEET! .  I built this for less than $20.  the most expensive part was the ball.  I built a utility trailer and then decided to build this in order to move it around. I never tried using one before....I wasn't sure how well they work, but now I'll never be without one.  I welded the nut on the stem so I can change the ball out, but the 1 7/8 ball works great on my 2 inch coupler for moving.

Reply:Those dollys are defiantly handy as pockets on a shirt.  I had one and someone came along and decided that they needed it worse than I did. Not big on thieves around here! I suppose it's time to build another one! What size tube did you use? I used pneumatic tires on my last one because I figured it would roll better in the grass. Reply:Looks good!  Nice simple design.What distance did you go with from the center of the ball down to the ground with it at max height?  Is the trailer pretty level when you move it around with the dolly?  I guess measuring the ball height on your tow vehicle would be a good number to use if it tows with the trailer pretty level...

Reply:Bolts were welded on...... With threads sticking out.  Also, use a lock nut for keeping the wheels on.  You can adjust for 'roll'http://www.youtube.com/user/c599209/videos
