Hello everybodyI am currently working on electron beam welding, and I have some problem with optimizing the parameters and finding the best parameters for welding. I would be so happy if you could help me with your comments and intoducing proper refrences. Also, I'd like to know how can I use DOE (designe of experiment) on thic case.Thank you
Reply:You didnt give enough information. How many MegaWatts, Volts , Amps, Torr? What do use to deflect the beam, computer? What materials are you welding and what are you trying to make? Do you have any pics?DOE? Just do it.Sounds like a fishing trip.
Reply:The required vaccume is 0.013 pa and the machine voltage is 150 Kv and the maxinmum current is 200 mA. I wnat to find the proper parameter for welding of martensitic stainless steel and the thicknesse are 8.5, 10.3, 12, 15, 22, 36 all with 5 milimetre backing.
Reply:Trial and error. The 200ma sounds really weak and at 30K watts? Lower the 150KV to where the EB Gun fires smoothly with correct Nitrogen bleed. At 150KV , your probably burning up EB guns/SacraficialTungsten fast.Try 50 KV then you have 60 Amps at 30KW. You need High voltage to fire the EB Gun and Hi Amps to weld but , you shouldnt need 150KV to fire in a hi vacuum? You have pics or more detail? |
