Looking to try a few projects in Aluminum and saw one of these on sale. Anyone using it or the Miller type with a 140 Machine? Do you like it? Was it worth it? Did you wish you didn't buy and put the money towards a TIG instead?? Thoughts???Thanks,Dave

Reply:Personally i wouldn't bother with it on anything less than a 230. but i have heard of guys making it work on a 180. Aluminum is really out of the practice range of a 110V mig.Vantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches.
