Reply:I just posted these pics in the "mig, tig, smaw" forum. I didn't see this post. Anyway, here are two pics from PROFESSIONAL LOS ANGELES COUNTY welders!!!!! These county welders suck and have no pride in their work! Welds were done a few days ago! Attached ImagesLast edited by SuperArc; 01-23-2013 at 05:03 AM.
Reply:Here's the second crappy picture form a so called "professional" government welder: Apparently, the silver colored spray paint makes the welds look "much better." Reply:Ha. Winner winner, chicken dinner. Done by yours truly. First OA "welds".
Reply:I'll have to take a few shots of the patches on the skid steer bucket I have. The welds looked almost alright, until I hit them with the pressure washer. The worst I've seen on here was aluminum welding that someone had done on a boat with a spoolmatic. I believe the member on here was hired to fix it.IW Local 580 NY, NY
Reply:Might as well throw one of mine in here. Just started and it's crap. HAHA
Reply:I don't have any crappy weld pics I have a grinder.

Reply:I posted this when I came here. I was advised to take some classes, which I did for 3 years on Saturdays at the local CC. The rust occurred between sessions as the car was outside. That was done with a Lincoln 100 Weld Pak using shielding gas .I still have it to take with me if I go out to fix a gate or something. There is no substitute for better equipment, IMHO.__________________ |
