Gym Equipment

Been lurking around here for a few months. Just wanna say i love all the info/projects, and all the help. you guys are true pros on here. Got a question, has anyone built any gym equipment for any local gyms? I'm looking to build a incline bench press, and im looking for some decent prints. Any help would be appreciated

Reply:Just as a side note, make sure you look GOOD and hard into the liability issues that go along with building exercise equipment.

Reply:Wait for garage sale season and pick a few of them up for next to nothing.  You will get the weights, bars and everything the exasperated mother wants to rid her garage of.  I like the old ones because they are made out of angle iron, so I canabalize them for other projects.  Be careful don't want a bunch of welders in court because they are doing steroids on the job.  "Did you see that guy lift that 30 foot I beam without the use of crane?"

Reply:Hey Steve, can you tell me where I may find plans for a machine that will let me hang upside down so as to relieve compression on my spine?  We have a store here they call "relax the back" that has a machine but with this slowed down economy I can forget spending 700 bucks on one. However I have lots of scrape iron, time, and  welding rods.

Reply:There are number of gym equipments are available to reduce the weight and to maintain our health but we should verify the quality of the gym equipment before purchasing..
