xmt 304 welder

I just bought an xmt 304  kk038408. hooked up to 220 plug in and both digital gauges come on but no weld output. hooked up black and white wires to positive and green to a ground. what would be the problem. hooked up to single phase also.

Reply:it is a cc/cv welder.  tells you how to hook up to single phase from looked up owners manual by serial numbers. in stick it tells you both amps and volts.  v sense feeder it tells you volts.  hooked up lead and ground and nothing.  touched my ln-25 input to positive output and touched small clip on feeder ground back to the negative of machine and it would not push wire. the panel/remote switch is on panel

Reply:Check the power with an adequately fused DMM, the Miller website should have the owners manual and if you dig a little deeper I am pretty sure you will find the "service and troubleshooting manual" for it, which with a series of go no-go tests should confirm advanced problems.

Reply:what voltage does the tag on the back of the machine say?there are a lot that need higher voltage than 240VG
