Welding Leads-Or Winch Leads Question

Although this question pertains to winch leads, it could be directed at welding leads.  I am running some #2 wire from the truck battery under the truck to some quick-connect Anderson plugs at the rear of the truck. A winch will be on a trailer with an Anderson plug allowing me to directly connect the winch to the truck battery to pull things up and onto the trailer. Reply:Tape them with vinyl tape and wrap one wrap of wire around at the tape and twist it. Twist ties should be considered temporary, very temporary. I have a bed winch on my truck and that is what I did, in 1989 when I put the bed on it. Stll good today.
