Maxstar 150stl with pedal and leads value

So I have a 150stl, with all the goodies (torch, stinger, foot pedal, regulator, case that you could actually fit everything in..) Its only about 1 and half years old. I'm thinking about getting a little wild and picking up a 200 (SD or DX to be decided). What I am wondering is what you guys think something like this is worth? I used with both processes, its in great shape still. When it was not being used I stored it in the case. So I think though that if I end up buying the 200, I'm going to sell (or try to). So what do you gentle folks think it is worth (assuming everything works A + , which it does.) Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, I didn't want to put it in the buy/sell spot for obvious reasons. I want a genuine sorta value on it. Not a quick number somebody is trying to tempt me with.PS I know there is a lot of talk about 6010 rods with these little inverters... That being said, I have actually run 3/32 6010 with this flawlessly (many positions) before in a pinch. My understanding is that 6010 is a high conductance rod and these little guys suffer to keep up. Attached Images

Reply:To tell you the truth I love the thing. Its never let me down. 110v or 220v it can weld pretty damn good. especially the tig side of it. I have ended up in places with no 220, only 110 and got the jobs done. I just tigged a row machine back together in a basement with it. Ive done a lot stainless with it too. Some thin stuff up to 3/16 or so. Dumb brackets to roll cages the thing just works. However I want something a litte bit heavier, and thats actually rated to run a good 6010. I can't support a dynasty (no real aluminum work to need it........yet) and the day I throw a syncrowave in my truck to weld well anything, is the day my family is allowed to admit me.... The 200 is still portable, and seems like the most logical choice, unless I get a little froggy and do something extreme. Which is always possible I suppose.

Reply:Hello and welcome. Posting your location would help. Prices vary by area and economy. MILLER machines are always priced high. Sometimes people get big bucks for them, it depends on buyer. There are those that will buy a 2 year old machine for a couple hundred less then new to save sales tax. Others will say for a little more I can buy new. It depends on the buyers in your area.   Check craigs list if available and shop around the states.  . In my area, northern Illinois theyare anywhere from 1000.00 down to 500.00. I found one for a buddy, guy wanted to sell it now and he got it for 450.00. The tig set up and pedal still in the plastic.    I would price it high and see what happens. You can always go down. Set your bottom price and don't go lower. Just keep it or wait for warmer weather if you are in the snow belt / cold climate.  You could always see if supplier would take it in trade too. That's too  nice a machine to be getting rid of .
Reply:You guys are making me feel guilty now. Im in north east pa. Theres not a whole lot really on craigslist as far as these go. Your friend really got a deal there. I think this ended up close to 1600+ for me new. About 1450 for the machine, case and goodies excluding the pedal. The pedal was more expensive than the ones Im seeing lately. That could be just bad memory though. They are definately cheaper now though.
