Deal or no deal?

Im in the market to build up some good equipment in hopes of putting together a rig & looking for some professional help on a used engine driven welder. Would this be a good deal any of you would go after or is there something that I should pay attention to while searching? Reply:A lot depends on what you want to do. The slightly older Trailblazers were nice all around machines, being AC/DC capable and would take a remote so you could run a pedal for tig or an RC type feeder. However they aren't a machine to go pipe lining with, but more a general purpose maintenance machine.Also be aware that Miller has used the Trailblazer name for a lot of years and the original machines aren't the same as newer ones in capabilities. You really need an idea what rough age the machine is, or what it's capabilities are to know if it's right for you.$200 for the feeder is a very good deal. Usually I see them for $400-600. 161 hours is almost like new. $3k is roughly the price of a new Miller Bobcat. I'd take a TB over a Bobcat hands down in most cases..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:General repair/ light - med fabrication to start out with. Still have to learn stick welding so that's  why I thought about getting a engine driven welder. Also that would allow me to start chasing work, learning & applying.
