Nothing very difficult...Once I figured out the print..Damn ROOKIE engineers..As you know when reading a weldment print you look at the part like it's in a fishbowl..You guys that read prints know exactly what I mean..Well not in this case..It was just C.A.D. drawing with no rhyme or reason..After we got that settled all went to plan..Pics.Air actuated cylinders attach to these for the "Reject"  line at the shingle plant..They need a new engineer....zap!Last edited by zapster; 08-18-2011 at 03:34 PM.I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:If he is a really bad engineer and totally screws things up send him over our plant will hire him. And put him charge of important things. But you made him look like a hero with those welds. Reply:Looks great! Couple of questions. The welds next to the bolt holes, shouldn't the welds be flycut or milled flat around the bolt holes so the bolt sits flat and not up on the weld on one corner putting stress on the bolt head? Second question, to me the welds look like they could use a little more filler. I am sure they are plenty strong for the application and all but I was always taught that welds shouldn't be concave. Maybe it is just the angle of the pics that make them seem that way.Not trying to put the work down at all, you do great work, just conversation and general questions.

Reply:Heh Zap, I see from the welds that your boss must have bought a robot welder. They're so exact that they had to be done by a robot.......Or is it just that sometimes you just feel like a robot???Great work......Again.Have a great weekend.Sign on East Texas payphone: Calls to God 40 cents......it's a local call...
