I finished the table with some 3/8 steel bent plate and some 1” aluminum square tubing for legs.  Not the best engineered table because it is a little top heavy but I’m not planning on doing anything heavy or crazy just small stuff and I need a straight steel surface.  It is a little wobbly, not sure if it needs some diagonal bracing or it is just the weight of the steel top.I made my bend test fixture but now I need some ideas with some stuff I have laying around.  I wanted to make something motorcycle related but all I have is some triple trees, clutch disks, brake rotors, kick starter, aluminum tubing, solid steel round stock, steel tubing, some 3/4 steel plate.  I thought about a clock, so I could go by a clock and fab up something, but that is boring.I might need to start to collect some more parts before I make something cooler. Reply:You could make a lift stand for your bike or a fork brace ?
Reply:Well, you could weld together a steel base for that table top.  The aluminum looks like you're going to have a lot of flex when you start pounding stuff, and eventually maybe even a failure.Jack OlsenMy garage website
