Reply:not yet still got alot of work to go yet
Reply:how much does that thing weigh? looks heavy, i really like the pig, chicken, and cow on top.shouldn't the exhaust exit be higher? seams like it would get real smokey with the exit so low...Last edited by beags86; 02-21-2011 at 10:57 PM.
Reply:its heavy,my tractor will still pick it up,im installing it on a 16 foot trailer soon and then a roof and all the other stuff that goes with an cossecion trailer,at that point the stack will go all the way through above the roof, just cant do all the tall stuff cuz my shop has a low roof, thanks for your reply
Reply:What's the lever out of the top near the fire box end? Nice work.  I think that smoker will out last you and me. Nice job.
Reply:just amazed that nearly 900 people have looked at this post and so few replys, not enough pics of the actual welds or what, thought it was where you could post up pics of projects and such,oh well for the very few who may be interested heres some more progress Attached Images
Reply:900 people have checked out your project and very few replies. That is normal.  People are lazy. They just want to enjoy the photos but will not take the time to type just a few words. Some people are worried about what the say .Many reasons The younger people these days have very poor social skills and cannot make a polite conversation. They grew up with their face stuck in a computer. Ironic isn't it.They are very uncommunicative on one of the best machines ever made for communication.Good project and creative too. Thanks for sharing your photos!AWS certified welding inspectorAWS certified welder

Reply:looks great! LOVE the chain! I'm a huge fan of chain. I've made a few things my self out of chain. Is that a 250 gallon propane tank? I made my backyard smoker out of a 50 gallon water heater, and works great. One of these days I'll get a hold of a 250 gallon to throw on a trailer. what part of texas you from?Ride it like you stole it!

Reply:Nice work.  Not so sure I like the side smoker on there, I personally would just have another small bbq pit for doing a few steaks or whatever when you don't wanna fire up the big pit.I think the chain handles look good but I bet they get super hot when that thing is actually cooking.

Reply:Is this for personal use or are you going to sell it? How much $$ did it take to build? Also like the other guy asked what do you think it weighs? I like it!
Reply:Looks good, you should be proud. I also like the fact that you added everything, including the kitchen sink.......literallly.
Reply:Ha, I just thought, "that is one serious chuck of iron to cook on - this would only make sense in Texas."Sure enough PaintMan it looks like you both belong.I like the look of the steel and the welds and I enjoy the good idea of making the sides of the trailer turn into an awning. You could haul it to weddings and family reunions and have a side job (or business) as BBQ chef. Thanks for sharing.Miller Syncrowave 180SDLincoln WeldPak 100 with gasHandheld Milwaukee BandsawO/A Cutting Torch

Reply:Getting plans together for mine, but I have been wondering...What is a firebox? Coming from the north this whole concept is new to me. The impression I'm getting is it seems its to cook it with un-direct heat and smoke.
