Project i have been working on lately. Always wanted a good air compressor but due to lack of room and power i have came up with this.6.5 HP Briggs and Stratton (got a deal on it because some small plastic parts where broken , easily fixed) 5 Hp Central Pneumatic 2 cylinder pump. 15CFM @ 90 Got to change up the floor mountings , shakes all over the place. Add some hooks for air line and final paint. Oh ya and some safety protection around the belt. Attached Images

Reply:Yeah...you are going to need that unloader. otherwise, you may have disastrous resultsAlso, I wouldn't consider this a good compromise between a "good compressor" and "lack of room". it seems to take up the same amount of floor space as a 2-stage upright, and without a tank, yours will not work very well (depending on what you are doing). A tank is pretty important (don't see many compressors sold without one, eh?)no offense, just my 2 cents
Reply:It has an unloader , just not throttle control. Cant see it in the pic. Space wise , i have no room in the garage. With this i can move it around. I sometimes need it for on site jobs. Tank wise , works fine without a tank for now. I have a small 10 gal one i was using with it before. I tried getting one of those wheel barrow style ones , not the easiest thing to find. Kijiji was a bust , and im not spending 300$ on a 20gal tank! I could get a 100 gal for 100$ used. |
