Thinking about getting a spoolgun for my MM251. Looking at the 15A and the 30A on Miller's web page I don't see a lot of difference except in price. They are both 100% @ 200amps. I think the 15A will go down to .023 wire where the 30A starts at .030 wire. What else am I missing? Wold the 30A really be worth the $200+ extra?StephenMillermatic 251Miller Syncrowave 200Miller 30A SpoolgunHypertherm Powermax 30Etc., etc., etc.............Cancer Sucks!
Reply:Difference is length of cables. 30 feet vs 15 feet. Your call whether an extra $200 is worth it, but 30' is very liberating...JasonXMT 350 MPA Dynasty 280DXSuitcase 8RC / OptimaSpoolmatic 30AThermco Ar / C02 mixerAssorted O/A gear

Reply:I have the 15A which I use mostly on the truck and sometimes in the shop. It would be very nice if it was the 30' model. A 25' extension cable set is about $300 and a 50' set is about $500.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op

Reply:I believe any CV engine drive will run the spool gun in question. You will need a control unit - which one depends on which drive you have.JasonXMT 350 MPA Dynasty 280DXSuitcase 8RC / OptimaSpoolmatic 30AThermco Ar / C02 mixerAssorted O/A gear
