i have the craftsmen 20511 welder mig/flux i put the welder on 1st speed and the IPM come to be 81/2 IPM and im thanking to myself their is no welder in the world that does 81/2 IPM so im thinking my speed control board is bad becouse if the wire feed motor was bad it would just stop working right what do you think does any one have one that can do a IPM test at 1st speed for me
Reply:is that 8.5 ipm or 81/2=40.5ipm? either way that's wicked low...even for 3/32 wire lol. You're rollers might be so worn they don't grip the wire or the tension on the wire roll might be so tight it's preventing the spool from turning.
Reply:wire roller is like .5 turn from unwinding the roller is not slipping or realy tight and that 8.5 IPM ive checked everything its got to be the wire feed motor or the wire feed board i dont know how to check
