HELP,,, car dolly

I am looking for pics of an apart car dolly or the plans for one. I am in Alaska and live a bit out of town and at the moment don't know anyone that has one to look at for knowlage. A guy is moving outside in aug and has asked me to build one. Does anyone have pics or good links that show them tilted and viewable. Reply:look on harbor freights website they have a couple different kind from the simple lift and set kind to self lifting they usually have down loadable manuals with part breakdowns350P 30A spool gun cut master 51  syncro 250 other stuff " take a dog off the street and make him prosper and he will not bite you sad the same cannot be said for man" i didnt use punctuation just to piss you off

Reply:I was just going to set up my pivot with a grade 8 1" bolt and use uhmw plate for it to slide on. Reply:What kind of car do you plan on hauling?  With the deck as high as you have it, you may have some bumper dragging problems.My name's not Jim....
Reply:The guys got an s10 blazer he's gonna pull on it. The customer wanted to use his existing 10d up torx flex axle the main frame is 2x2x1/4 tube and the pans are only 3/8+ above that. Reply:I mentioned it because all the dollys I have seen had the deck well below the center of the wheels.  I used one once and had bumper issues.  My car does sit lower than most.My name's not Jim....

Reply:UHMW would be a great bet because it is a great wear resistant and is a very durable material. It also has lowest co-efficient of friction of any plastic besides Teflon. Either plastic should be sufficient for your application. Good luck.Last edited by 2talltary; 09-21-2011 at 05:30 PM.
