Schools that teach welding in CA Los angeles area?

Anyone know of any schools that teach basic welding in Ca around the Los Angeles area? I was waiting to take summer courses over at LA trade tech, called them up today and turns out they only offer 1 class and it has pre-requisites of taking welding 101 and some other class. Problem being I'm 16 and it makes it much harder to travel around I take the bus, train, bike whatever but it's slower. Searched around the internet but It seems I'm not able to find any schools around here or anything regarding the instruction of anyone under the age of 18. I guess I can always wait till after High School but that would kill the purpose of me trying to see If I'd like to do something with welding or not.
Reply:Check your local community college.  Most of them have welding classes.  I know College of the canyons and Antelope Valley College both have them from basic up to advanced.  Im sure others do as well.
