Hi all,I have an old welder given to me with no leads. My question is this, can I safely use ground clamp and electrode holder off of my 100 amp ac stick welder. It will go on a 230 v ac stick machine iffin it is safe to do so. As always thx in advance
Reply:Uncle Buck,It's not a matter of welder input voltage but rather and output welding amperage-vs-cable length-vs-duty cycle (60%) as seen in the chart at the end of this link:http://www.pacificcabling.com/Specia...rage_chart.htmMM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:Thx Duane,Sorry for the confusion I think, what I meant was I will use different leads of the correct gauge. I just wanted to steal the ground clamp and electrode holder only on smaller 110 v ac machine. I wasn't going to use those leads.
