There is an active thread in the projects area entitled "F20C Turbo Manifold" ref: http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=61129I could have sworn somebody posted a link there yesterday that pointed to a honda-tech.com web site showing the details of creating a merge collector. (Actual link = http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2787713 )Now it looks like that link has disappeared. Did I miss something? I'm curious, why was that link removed? Was there some issue involving welding web forum rules? Was the addition of that link too far off topic? Hope I'm not blowing it with this posting. Seeing the collector come together was kinda cool. Gives me some ideas for alternative ways to do a non-automotive metal welding project I've got in my head. I do have a question for folks here, though. It involves welding up a three or four to one collector. The honda-tech link stated that the collector is welded up autogeneous TIG welding. Its not clear to me how you would weld that thing up? Do you use long stickout with gas lens, and weld the inside? Or long stickout and weld the outside? Anybody been here before?thanks for your input, zip.

Reply:I think you may be referring to the post in http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=45112&page=14 entitled "home made twin turbo the "right" way?". The link that you mentioned is on page 14. |
