What should I set the Pre-flow at?  When I got the welder (brand new) it was set 2.00  I checked the default value and it was 00.  It appears to me that the pre-flow works by delaying the start of wire feed.  What are all the settings you guys run? Thanks,Jack
Reply:When you got the new machine the setting was something other than defalt???Check your manual for what the numbers mean. I have my powermig set at .1 or 1/10 second. On other equipment in the past I've set it to 1/2 second or so if the regulator builds pressure when shut off and puffs hard when the solenoid opens.Post flow I set to 1/2 second and crater fill larger puddles manually.Matt
Reply:I'll check mine out at work and report back tomorrow. 2sec is way high for preflow. I think I'm at .5 but I can't remember.
Reply:You won't get any benefit from more than a half second of pre-flow or more than 1 sec of post flow.  More than that is wasting gas.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
