1988.    Buy a 4 year old kid a Power Wheels Jeep for Xmas and what’s the first thing that happens?  They get lotsa new friends that want to drive it!  Or at least ride around in it.  More friends than seats! Got a couple bent "J" shaped drops of 14ga sheet from a friend at a local steel fab shop.  What can I make out of them?  How 'bout a trailer – for the jeep? Bottom and front are 14ga sheet, corners welded with 3/32” 7014.  Outside corners ground / sanded and inside corners bondo’d.  The frame is 1”x11ga sq tube and a 5/8" eye bolt as a pintle hitch ring.  1”x11ga sq tube corner pockets – not for stakes – but for a little canvas top over a ¾” frame.  It’s  in PHX!  Axle was 5/8” hot rolled rod just slipped thru frame cross tube.  Tires were new wheelbarrow tires from Home Depot.  No tailgate – no need.  Sandblast.  Frazee 661 MetalPrime + one coat red Industrial Enamel.  Now comes the hard part.  In order to have a trailer, the Jeep had to have a hitch.  In order to fasten a hitch to a polyethlene unibody, needed to find something solid to attach it to.  Maybe where the wheels attach?  There was some sort of frame under it if I remember correctly.  So all I had to do was take it off and weld a 1” sq tube front to back.  The "hitch" was 3/16x1x4 straps at the back, top and bottom with holes to drop a bolt thru the pintle ring.  It worked!  Simpler than I thought.   And stronger.A year or so later, a friend gave us another PW Jeep with a dead battery.  Fixed it, so the kid [an only child] had two vehicles!     She could race around with all her friends.Really sorry no pix of the chassis or top.  Thx for lookin! Reply:Damn, I know a couple of kids a few years ago who would have done anything for one of those trailers! Great idea..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan
