Reply:Sounds like it's time for a new gun liner to me.
Reply:the whole assembly is brand new straight from tweco hose liner n tips is it possible that the hose was kinked from shipping
Reply:Possible that the liner was kinked in shipping.Have you tried a different spool of wire?  Sometimes the cast on the wire can cause the situation you're encountering. Also, Miller makes a "wire straightner" for that feeder.  Attaches just before the wire enters the guide (before the first set of rollers).I'd also check the liner size.  That's a pretty big (and expensive) setup for running a steady diet of .035 wire.  The liner may even be sized to accomodate 1/16" wire.  Too large a liner will allow the wire to "flop around" in it, causing the problems you'r seeing.PS Went back and clicked on your first link.  See where the first link showed the 22A/24A whereas the second link showed the S74D as the feeder with the migrunner package.  The 22A/24A feeders (even the 24A with 4 drive rollers) is not quite as robust as the S74D.I have used both the 22A and the S714DX (Same feeder as the S 74 DX) with my XMT304.  Used with a Bernard Q300 (15') and a .035/.045 liner, I've never experienced the problems you're having.  Did your company swap out the Bernard (comes standard with the Miller feeders) for the Tweeco gun?  Check the liner.Last edited by SundownIII; 01-09-2011 at 01:05 AM.Syncro 250 DX Dynasty 200 DXMM 251 w/30A SG XMT 304 w/714 Feeder & Optima PulserHH187Dialarc 250 AC/DCHypertherm PM 1250Smith, Harris, Victor O/ASmith and Thermco Gas MixersAccess to a full fab shop with CNC Plasma, Water Jet, etc.
